Wondering who is leading the sessions for First Field Frenzy on July 16 at Mercer Stadium?

Leading the Girls/Women's side is Beth Anderson and Ashlyn Dhandwar

Beth is a highly acclaimed lacrosse athlete having played for Team BC for Box and Field Lacrosse who represented Canada in the U20 Field Lacrosse World Championships in Hong Kong last August. She is a committed D1 college athlete entering her third year at Brown University (Go Bears). A midfielder who also takes the draw, she will be sharing her expertise with all our athletes with targeted training provided during the skills session.

Ashlyn is a highly acclaimed lacrosse athlete having played for Team BC for Box and Field Lacrosse and representing BC the Canada Summer Games in Box Lacrosse. She is a committed D1 college athlete entering her third year at Canisius University (Go Griffs). A midfielder who also takes the draw, she will be sharing her expertise with all our athletes with targeted training provided during the skills session.

Leading the Youth (Co-Ed) side is Colburn Connelly and Evan Connelly
Colburn is a highly acclaimed lacrosse athlete having played Field Lacrosse for Team BC and Fusion and box lacrosse for Jr A Salmonbellies. He is a committed college athlete entering his third year at Young Harris (Go Lions). He is a midfielder who also takes faceoffs and an accomplished box lacrosse defender.

Evan is a highly acclaimed lacrosse athlete having played Field Lacrosse for Team BC and Fusion and box lacrosse for Jr A Salmonbellies. He is a committed college athlete entering his second year at Simon Fraser University (Go Redleafs). He is an offensive midfielder who is comfortable driving up the score and defending the net.

FREE drop in sessions for U11 and younger from 4:30 - 5:20 .
FREE drop in session for U13 and up from 5:30 -6:30
Fee based skills session for U11 & U13 athletes and U15 & U18 from 6:30-7:30

Fees have gone up, but they remain the lowest in the region! We are committed to ensuring every kid can play. Financial assistance may be available through Kid Sport New West or the Minor Bellies organization so please reach out.

Not sure about Field Lacrosse yet? Come check it out during Field Frenzy which runs every Wednesday at Mercer Stadium until August 13th. Free drop-in sessions (no need to register) for both Girls/Women's Field Lacrosse and Co-Ed Field Lacrosse, perfect for all ages and stages to dust the rust off or check out the sport. For those more experienced players, we are running focussed skills sessions for U11 & U13 players and U15 & U18 players. Each week there will be a different focus to help our players get ready to hit the turf. Registration link for skills sessions is in our bio.

July 9th is the day that Field Frenzy comes back to New West! Every Wednesday from July 9th to August 13th at Mercer Stadium there are free drop-in sessions for athletes to discover field lacrosse, or dust the rust off on their cleats and get ready for September! Rain or shine.

Never played lacrosse before? No worries! This is the time to try.

Coaches Noah Armitage, Monica Disanjh, Kai George and Ema Ulinder will be lending their coaching expertise and years of experience to inspire the Next Generation of Fish.

The field will be split into girls lacrosse and coed lacrosse and sessions will be run concurrently.

FREE drop in sessions for U11 and younger from 4:30 - 5:30
FREE drop in session for U13 and up from 5:30 -6:30

Limited sticks and goggles for girls field lacrosse and sticks for co-ed field lacrosse will be available to borrow for new athletes. Helmets and gloves required for co-ed athletes. Cleats recommended. Full gear needed for the skills sessions.
