Team Formation
There are a number of factors that go into team formations each year. It is always our intent to keep players of similar ages and levels together on teams, but sometimes situations beyond our control prevent that from happening. These include policy changes/regulations from the BCLA and LMLA, number of registrants at each age group within the Minor Bellies and number of registrants at each age group at other lacrosse associations and evaluation turn out. We appreciate your feedback and take it into consideration when planning for the next season occurs. Registering early is incredibly helpful for us for forming teams and planning, so don’t delay.
Evaluations for A level teams
We heard your feedback regarding evaluations. We will be hiring external evaluators for evaluations for U11 and up to increase transparency and impartiality. In order for your player to be evaluated, they must pay the evaluation fee in advance.
Doug Hazelwood, Bring a Buddy and Dust the Rust off:
We want to make sure our players are ready and excited for the next season, so we will once again be running the Doug Hazelwood Memorial Clinic for our newest players and Bring a Buddy at Queensborough Middle School. Additionally, we will hold some Dust the Rust off sessions for players of all levels (location TBD). Stay tuned for information on dates and times.
