Fees have gone up, but they remain the lowest in the region! We are committed to ensuring every kid can play. Financial assistance may be available through Kid Sport New West or the Minor Bellies organization so please reach out.

Not sure about Field Lacrosse yet? Come check it out during Field Frenzy which runs every Wednesday at Mercer Stadium until August 13th. Free drop-in sessions (no need to register) for both Girls/Women's Field Lacrosse and Co-Ed Field Lacrosse, perfect for all ages and stages to dust the rust off or check out the sport. For those more experienced players, we are running focussed skills sessions for U11 & U13 players and U15 & U18 players. Each week there will be a different focus to help our players get ready to hit the turf. Registration link for skills sessions is in our bio.

July 9th is the day that Field Frenzy comes back to New West! Every Wednesday from July 9th to August 13th at Mercer Stadium there are free drop-in sessions for athletes to discover field lacrosse, or dust the rust off on their cleats and get ready for September! Rain or shine.

Never played lacrosse before? No worries! This is the time to try.

Coaches Noah Armitage, Monica Disanjh, Kai George and Ema Ulinder will be lending their coaching expertise and years of experience to inspire the Next Generation of Fish.

The field will be split into girls lacrosse and coed lacrosse and sessions will be run concurrently.

FREE drop in sessions for U11 and younger from 4:30 - 5:30
FREE drop in session for U13 and up from 5:30 -6:30
Fee based skills session for U13 athletes and up. Link in bio.

Limited sticks and goggles for girls field lacrosse and sticks for co-ed field lacrosse will be available to borrow for new athletes. Helmets and gloves required for co-ed athletes. Cleats recommended. Full gear needed for the skills sessions.

Wondering who is leading the sessions for our Firs

Wondering who is leading the sessions for our First Field Frenzy on July 9 at Mercer Stadium? Well wonder no more!

Leading the Girls/Women's side is Monica Disanjh and Ema Ulinder

Monica is an experienced lacrosse athlet and coach leading our Sticks in Schools program as well as lending her expertise as a coach for U13 and U11 girls for the Minor Bellies and for the Team BC U13 girls box lacrosse team that is heading to Halifax this summer. She is passionate about Physical Literacy in young athletes and brings her coaching and development expertise to these sessions

Ema is a highly acclaimed lacrosse athlete having played for Team BC for Box and Field Lacrosse. She is a committed DII college athlete to WIngate University (Go Bulldogs). A defense player who believes defense wins championships, she'll be inspiring the next generation in the drop in and skills sessions

Leading the Youth (Co-Ed) side is Noah Armitage and Kai George
Noah has been a lifelong member of the Salmonbellies with the entirety of his minor, senior and junior career wearing a Bellies jersey. Noah completed his undergrad at Stony Brook University where he excelled as an offensive midfielder and completed his final year of NCAA eligibility with the University of Maryland. Currently playing for the Sr Bellies, he has been drafted by the San Diego Seals. He is a coach with the Fusion West Lacrosse.

Also a lifelong member of the Salmonbellies, Kai played his minor and junior career wearing a Bellies jersey and is now a Minor Bellies coach. Kai completed his undergrad at Lewis University. He currently plays for the Sr Lakers, where he is assistant captain, and plays for the Colorado Mammoth in the NLL. He is powered by fruit gummies and is a coach with Pro Caliber Lacrosse.

FREE drop in session for U13 and up from 5:30 -6:30

As Box Lacrosse season wraps up, we are looking ah

As Box Lacrosse season wraps up, we are looking ahead to Field Lacrosse. And with that comes...Field Frenzy!

Field Frenzy starts on July 9th at Mercer Stadium and continues every Wednesday until August 13.

These sessions are a great way for athletes new to the sport of field lacrosse to discover their new favourite activity, and for past players to dust the rust off. All levels welcome, invited and encouraged!

Session timings are:
Free drop in session U11 and under: 4:30-5:30
Free drop in session U13 and over: 5:30-6:30
Skills session: 6:30-7:30 (register through link in bio)

The turf will be split in two for co ed/youth and girls for all sessions.

Helmets, sticks and gloves required for Youth lacrosse. Goggles and sticks required for Girls/Womens. We will have limited goggles and sticks available to borrow for the sessions.

Skills sessions require full gear.

Learn from coaches Noah Armitage and Kai George on the youth/coed side and Ema Ulinder and Monica Disanjh on the girls side.

Come by and check it out! We will have volunteers who can answer questions about the Minor Bellies and Field Lacrosse and our amazing sponsor Artisan Garden Group on site.
