Field Equipment Guidelines
Lacrosse equipment is available from a variety of sporting goods stores; the NWMLA also offers a rental program (see below) for younger players. For those who play box lacrosse or hockey, some of the same equipment can be used.
Sticks
A plastic-headed stick is mandatory. The women’s field lacrosse stick is different from what is used in box lacrosse and can be rented from the NWMLA; see below.
Goalies
All equipment for goalies (except their helmet, gloves and jock) will be supplied to ensure maximum protection.
Youth (Co-ed) U7 to U18
Stick, hockey or field lacrosse helmet with wire face mask, (must meet prescribed safety standards), lacrosse gloves, slash guards, elbow pads, athletic support with cup for boys, jill for girls, mouth guard, shoulder pads, kidney pads and a pair of cleats or soccer boots.
Women’s U7 to U18
Women’s field stick, goggles, mouthguard and cleats/soccer boots/turf shoes.
Rental Program
Women’s Field Stick Rental Program:
Fees: $30 stick rental per season with a $30 deposit (cheque post dated to March 30)
PLAYERS MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN GOGGLES

Sticks can be purchased from the equipment manager for $60 (properly restrung & shortened).

Equipment rental package for U7 players includes:
- Chest / shoulder pads
- Elbow pads
- Gloves
Fees: $60 per season with a $60 deposit (cheque post dated to March 30) or buy the rental package for $120.
PLAYERS MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN STICK, HELMET, JOCK AND MOUTHGUARD
Sticks can be purchased from the equipment manager for $60 (properly restrung & shortened).
