Introduction:

New Westminster has a long standing reputation in the game of lacrosse and the New Westminster Minor Lacrosse Association (NWMLA) is proud to offer the youth of New Westminster a positive and safe recreational choice for players of all skill levels.

The NWMLA is a member association of the Pacific Coast Field Lacrosse League (PCFLL). The season takes place during the Fall/Winter months; for 2024-25 the PCFLL will consist of 6 Youth (co-ed) and 6 Women's (female only) age divisions: U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, and U18.

Girls are welcome to register and play in either the Youth or Women's division. Women's field lacrosse is non-contact, and is a game based on stick skills, speed, and strategic play. In the younger divisions, girls play a 7-vs-7 style of game on a half field – the focus is on development of their stick skills, passing and positioning. In the older divisions, girls play 11-vs-11 on a full field.
