Section 5.3 of By-Laws

Proposed: The following officers shall be elected from the Directors elected at each Annual General Meeting of the Society
Rational: Wording correction - a typo from when bylaws were converted to Word
Section 2.3 of By-Laws
Current: Parents or guardians of boys and girls who are registered with the New Westminster Minor Lacrosse Association shall be members of the Society. All coaches, managers and referees involved in the New Westminster Manor Lacrosse Association shall be members of the Society.
Proposed: Parents or guardians of boys and girls who are registered with the New Westminster Minor Lacrosse Association shall be members of the Society. All coaches, managers and referees over the age of 19 involved in the New Westminster Manor Lacrosse Association shall be members of the Society.
Rational: Section 67 of Societies Act states that unless bylaws say otherwise a person under 19 can be a member. Board recommends that only referees over the age of 19 be members. -
Emily Goss Fund
July 08, 2019
To our Lacrosse Friends and Family,
On the evening of Saturday, June 15th Warren and Shawna received a phone call from the London police to inform them that their daughter, Emily had been struck by a drunk driver and they needed to get to London immediately. Warren, Shawna, Hayden, Jamie and Wendy (Shawna’s mom) frantically packed and took the next flight to London, which we would all agree would be the longest flight ever.
Emily remains in a coma and has recently been transferred back to Canada and now is at Vancouver General Hospital. Emily will have a long road to recovery and Warren and Shawna remain by Emily's side daily.
The cost of flights, accommodations, lost income etc. will be an additional unneeded stress. Everyone inquiring has asked how they can help and offered to send money to support them. Deb Heard has set up an account so we can send money to Warren & Shawna to support the entire Goss family.
If you wish to donate any amount you can:- E-transfer to debheard@shaw.ca
- Donate at the Women's Salmonbellie Game(Emily's Team) on Sunday, July 14th
Every penny will be sent directly to the Goss family to assist them as needed.
Please send your positive thoughts and messages to the Goss family.
